General
Chalet Tauer is a fabulous and very, very spacious 380m2, 5 bedroom chalet, well located just over 1000m from the centre of Kaprun, so very walkable in shoes but maybe not ski boots! The free and frequent shuttle stops a short walk away, or just over 125m away. It offers a classic and modern chalet accommodation, spread over 2 floors with a sauna, fitness room, sun bed and a balcony offering scenic views of the stunning Kitzsteinhorn Mountain.
The chalet has a nice spacious 100m2 living room, with comfy seating and featuring a flat-screen satellite TV, a DVD player and a tiled stove. There is a second living area too which can be utilised as a 6th bedroom or an extra room for kids to play in. All 5 Austrian twin bedrooms come with an en suite bathroom and there is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave etc. The facilities include a washing machine, a tumble dryer and of course the chalet has WiFi.
The garden has a furnished sun terrace. Ski storage and private parking is available on site.Shops and restaurants can be found within 200m. The Tauern Spa thermal bath is 2.5 miles from the chalet. From the chalet you can ski the Maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn snow sure Glacier ski areas or Zell am See and Kitzbuhel and Saalbach with the Salzburg ski pass.

Much of the accommodation in Austria are good quality, family-run hotels, with many on a half-board basis, offering good quality mountain food.
