Chalet Sonnenschein is a comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 93m2 ground floor apartment and is situated in an ideal location on Tuxerstrasse. At around 1000m and in less than 15 minutes, you can walk to the centre of Mayrhofen and within a 10 minute walk you are at the Penkenbahn lift. The Ahornbahn ski lift, with its spectacular gondola which takes you up a picturesque climb up the Ahorn, is even closer being only 5 minutes or about 400m away. You are also only 300m distant from fresh rolls and milk at the Mpreis supermarket and there is also a bistro there too, where you can have breakfast from 7:30 in the morning. During the main season the supermarket is also open on Sunday which is important as in a lot of ski resorts, supermarkets are closed on a Sunday.

The nearest bus stop is only 50m away and from there you can take the ski bus to the Ahorn-, Penken- and Horberg lift stations. The Green line bus also takes you up to the glacier at Hintertux. In summer there is a bus that connects the small villages around Mayrhofen and it takes you to the valley stations of the Ahorn- and Penken cable car as well as to the train station in Mayrhofen and Ramsau. If driving here there is allocated parking for 2 vehicles.

With this excellent option, which can sleep up to 8, you have the ground floor and there is a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom apartment upstairs and both of these also have allocated parking. The open plan kitchen comes well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher etc and the living area hosts a large satellite TV. The dining area can seat 8 and you can get from here to the huge 60m2 terrace. There are then 3 Austrian twin bedrooms, two with pull out beds underneath with 2 full bathrooms, each having a shower and WC. The chalet/apartment has complimentary WiFi throughout. An excellent and well located modern self catered option which should help you enjoy your holiday to marvellous Mayrhofen.

AUSTRIA

AUSTRIA

Austria….The land of Oompah music, apple strudel and lederhosen. A fantastic choice for winter or summer.Full of charm, atmosphere, tradition, picture postcard towns and villages, Austria is an ideal
country to visit for groups, couples and families. The key to ski holidays in Austria is the country’s celebrated ‘Gemütlichkeit’ culture, which attempts to make guests feel welcome, entertained and well
fed, both on the slopes and after the lifts have closed. Many of the resorts offer very large and variable ski areas to compete with anywhere, serviced by some of the most modern lift systems in
Europe.

The service excellence and hospitality that you encounter all over the country is guaranteed to leave you with a warm glow even in the cold winter weather. You’ll find the typical Austrian welcome both on the slopes with genuinely friendly and helpful instructors and lively après-ski in almost every Austrian bar when the lifts have closed. Or even before they have – the partying starts early in
many resorts and it’s a familiar sight at many of the resort’s mountain huts to see skiers dancing while still in their ski boots skiing back down the slopes in the early evening.

Much of the accommodation in Austria are good quality, family-run hotels, with many on a half-board basis, offering good quality mountain food. Many of them have a wellness area which is a big part of Austrian life, so you can usually expect a spa, or at least a sauna and steam room. There is also a good choice of quality apartments, self catered chalets and in a few areas like St Anton or Solden, you can find your traditional catered chalet, with other areas offering a more bespoke catered option. We are happy to help, advise and recommend suitable ski areas and accommodation in Austria to
enhance your Austrian experience.
